After surviving a curse in which they were turned into swans by their wicked stepmother, the youngest of six brothers longs to take back to the skies. The curse was broken after the brothers’ sister fashioned new shirts for the man-swans, once again proving the age old adage: It is the clothing that makes the man. Unfortunately for the youngest brother, the clothing provided to him came with a missing sleeve. This resulted in the remaining of a wing for his left arm. Despite his condition, the youngest of six brothers has recently succeeded in attaining his pilot’s license. “It is kind of hard to flip through all the controls and keep steering with just one human arm, but it’s worth it to be in the air again.”

In an interview the young man told us, “It was a great feeling flying through the air as a swan, and being able to go where ever you please. Though, at first I was a little disgruntled by the fact that my sister had been able to complete my brother’s shirts and yet couldn’t find the time to put a left sleeve on mine, I now almost wish she’d left the right sleeve off as well. Perhaps with two swan wings I would’ve still been able to take flight.”

When questioned, his sister refused to comment on why she had not sewn his left sleeve on, even with six years to do so. Rumor has it that she holds a grudge over a wet-willy incident that occurred during a previous family road trip. The older brothers, however, were more than happy to show off the great designs she’d made for them. “Look at mine! She took the time to put on a hood and even design our family crest on the front. I mean, this is some great detail.” The oldest brother did in fact look dashing in his 100% star-flower shirt.

Regardless of the handicap having a swan wing for his left arm gave him, the youngest brother has still managed to get his pilot’s license and will be once more air born. He is a true inspiration. Overcoming the tragedy of being cursed to live as a swan, and then finding out he’d always have one swan wing, yet still he refuses to be anything but happy about living life. During the interview with his family, his older brothers were overjoyed by his accomplishments and were more than willing to chat with us on all the things he’s achieved since their swan days. His little sister, though, was speechless.

You never forget a wet willy from a sibling while on a road trip! However, being the youngest of three, myself, I think his sister overreacted.
