Obama Calls For An Increase In Minimum Wishes

29 Jan

WASHINGTON, D.C.–In his annual State Of The Union address, President Barack Obama responded to the growing gap of the amount of wishes granted between America’s middle class and the nation’s wealthiest individuals. He called for an increase in the minimum amount of wishes granted by magical entities, from three wishes per encounter to four. “We do not want to punish Queens and Sultans for their success in being born into the right family. But there are so many hard-working stepchildren and virtuous street-rats out there. We say to any Fairy Godmother or Genie who may be listening, let’s give them a fair shot at finding their happily ever after.”

Sounds like a policy I could get behind, on the surface. I just hope we’re taking into account what-all goes into the provision of additional wishes. All magic comes at a price, ’tis said. Whose pockets are any extra expenses coming from? Any response yet from the fairy/genie/mystical talking animals camp?

Yes, wishes do come at a cost. There has been talk of a using fairy dust and happy thoughts to raise revenues.
