ARCADIA, Greece–After centuries of regaling the woodland creatures of Arcadia with his famous pan flute, Pan has decided it’s time for a change. Feeling his musical growth has become stagnant, he has decided to dump the flute. “The flute wasn’t really getting it done with the nymphs anymore,” Pan explained.

Pan’s new instrument of choice: the banjo. Reaction to Pan’s sudden switch in musical instruments has been less than favorable. “Even I can’t get away fast enough when he starts banging on that thing,” his father Hermes confided. “He’s my son and I will always support anything he does,” his mother, a woodland nymph, told us. “But seriously, he needs to put that thing away.” Undaunted, Pan plans to press forward with the banjo and plans to form his own bluegrass band.

Is a panjo like a keytar? You may have just coined a new word, you’d better get the rights to it.

The worst decision since Bob Dylan when electric.

Bob and Pan will be touring together. Mostly small venues in Greece and a couple of dates in Cleveland.

They’ll also be performing “Like a Rolling Stone” as Sisyphus pushes a boulder up a hill.

I’m pretty sure Bob Dylan and Pan are the same age

And they both speak in weird dialects.

they should know it takes time to get good with any instrument… though I would imagine Pan would be naturally good with any instrument…

I dated a banjo-player. Tell Pan it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
