PALO ALTO, CA–Water conservationists Jack and Jill are having a difficult time generating excitement for their new invention, the self-recycling, waste-to-water pail dubbed the iPee. The concept behind the iPee is as refreshing as what it produces. Urine goes in the top, sparkling water comes out the bottom. Never confuse the two.

The iPee made a big splash when it debuted at this year’s CES, where Jack and Jill invited convention goers to relieve themselves on several prototypes. One blogger gleefully volunteered saying, “I’ve had plenty of experience pissing all over new products before, but never like this.” He live tweeted the event. It was an instant sensation.

Soon a steady stream of people lined up to tryout the amazing new device. Everything was flowing smoothly until someone urinated in an iPee after consuming a plate of grilled pancetta-wrapped asparagus for lunch. The odor was prevalent in the subsequent batch of sparkling water. After that, things went downhill for Jack and Jill.

“We didn’t consider the aromatic effect that asparagus has on urine,” said Jill. “I guess we may have to go back to the drawing board on this one. Jack and I are committed to finding the most environmentally friendly way to retrieve water. Hopefully our next concept will prove a bit more fetching.” 20130102-072112.jpg

Glad you leaked this to the WordPress community before it went viral. Okay, who’s the wiseguy who ate the beets?

Damn that asparagus!! I laughed out loud 🙂 This is one of my favorites. On a personal note, I bought an iPad yesterday and this was the first post I opened. Not sure how to feel about that, or how, when I opened the box, it smelled like asparagus…

You may want to invest in a stylus. We recommend Wang Laboratory ‘s Pen-S pointer. Hugely popular for its long reach.

Hooray for iPee! Personally, I would like to see some cover on the iPoop but I may be asking for too much, I fear.
